The Pan Family:

The Pan family owns and operates businesses in coal distribution, display manufacturing, golf courses, communication electronics, auto dealerships, and real estate. A prior investment of particular note is TPV Technology Ltd., a computer and TV display company in China in which the Pan family invested in 1992. Advantech's executive director Jong-Guang Pan led TPV to become a publicly traded company on the Hong Kong and Singapore exchanges in 1999. By 2004, TPV became the largest computer monitor manufacturer in the world after its acquisition of Phillips TV. Orient Golf, which is also led by Jong-Guang, is the largest golf course chain developer in mainland China.
